General note on this forum
By:Turnoi

Dear readers,

Dr. Yanni Zack has replied to all the questions asked in this forum until now. He has now informed the editors of this site that he has dropped out of education to do some other work and that he presently does not have the time to reply to the questions here. To keep this forum going, the site editors have asked me whether I would be interested to keep it going. I agreed to do so although I am fully aware of my own limitations.

Like Dr. Yanni Zack, I am a volunteer, and thus the amount of work and the quality I can invest here largely depends on my own working load and schedule, which may vary from time to time. I cannot promise that I could always offer helpful advice on each issue but I am able to promise to do my best.

I think a word of thanks and appreciation would be in place here for the good work Dr. Yanni Zack has done so far to help with advice given to posters here. Reading the previous questions and the replies Dr. Yanni Zack has posted leave a lasting impression on the good work he has done - by always being friendly and helpful and by offering expert advice and donating his time and resources. I really do mean what I say in this respect - I feel that Dr. Yanni Zack has done a really good job. Thank you!

At the same time, I wish to encourage other users and readers around here to offer their opinions and advice - especially those who are experienced teachers. The forum should not be a one-way-road with clearly defined roles of asking questions and replying to them by single persons. Let us develop this forum into one where we have dialogues rather than monologues on the topics in question. Also professionals have their own opinions, and it is good to hear and read more than one.

In other words, the quality of the posts in this forum depends on the input each of you can make to contribute.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Turnoi
