I would first of all ignore the other teachers comments. Are they your supervisor? If not, then the only one you need to get the confidence from for your teaching is the supervisor, and not these "nay-Sayer" teachers who are not receptive to how you are teaching.
From the activities you mentioned, i.e. the game you used of Boggle, you are on the right track.
Continue to use these games, and other fun activities that motivate the students.
