ESL Teaching and Learning Tips

I am a new teacher
I have recently arrived in Brazil and I am teaching private classes. Although I have done a TEFL course I feel I still need some advise on planning a class as his english is quite advanced. I have a list his hobbies and intrasts and would like to centre the class around these. Any help would be great. Thanks.
