EF Taizhou stands as a proud and well established member of the global EF community. Our first school opened in 2008 and since then we’ve been growing rapidly. We now have 3 schools in our city with more than 15 full time native English teachers and over 800 students studying with us in EF Taizhou.

Due to our continuous expansion, we are looking to enlarge our team. We need qualified and experienced teachers to join our professional and hardworking team. You will be part of a team of committed teachers who can add value to the school in many ways.

We teach a variety of classes from 3 years old up to adults and business. We prefer flexible teachers who can teach a range of levels and ages. Teachers must be native speakers of English with a university degree and a TEFL certificate or equivalent. At the moment, preference will be given to teachers who have experience in teaching young learners.

EF ( English First) has 3 schools so far in Taizhou, the first school (EF Taizhou Jiaojiang Center) was opened in 2008, after the first school’s successful we opened another two schools in the city, they are the EF Taizhou Yuhuan center and EF Taizhou Luqiao center. EF schools is the most popular and professional English training school in the city, we have a prominent fame among the local people, the international brand also enables us to build a strong and professional market here. EF is also your first choice if you are planning to come to China to experience the culture and life here. All you need to prepare is nothing but passion for teaching and desire for adventures.

Brief of the City
Taizhou is a young coastal city. It is located in Northern Zhejiang, south of the Shanghai Economic Zone. Its land area is 9411 square kilometers and its sea area is over 80,000 square kilometers, with a total population of 5,694,000. Under the jurisdiction of Taizhou City are three districts (Jiaojiang, Huangyan, and Luqiao), two county-level cities (Wenling and Linhai), and four counties (Sanmen, Tiantai, Xianju, and Yuhuan). Taizhou is an important base for the manufacturing industry of Zhejiang Province. It is also one of Zhejiang's major grain-producing areas and one of China's major fishing areas. It is also famous for its fruit, especially Huangyan Miju oranges, and its developing pharmaceutical industry.

Accommodation
EF teachers are housed in two apartment blocks about 5 and 15 minutes walk from the school and within 20 minutes walk of cafes, parks, restaurants, department stores, and supermarkets. All teachers have their own room and share facilities such as bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Every apartment has modern appliances such as air conditioners, washing machine, fridge, TVs, and services such as high speed internet and cable television.

Tour in Taizhou
Taizhou’s scenic, mountainous landscape is scattered with Buddhist temples. Tiantai Mountain in Tiantai County (Eastern Taizhou) is most famous as the birthplace of one of the most popular sects of Buddhism and as the hometown of the Living Buddha Ji Gong. Linhai City is also known as the home of the Great Wall of South China. It was built in Qing Dynasty to defend against Japanese pirate raids. The East Lake is also a beautiful spot to visit there. Jiaojiang even has its own Seaworld! Taizhou has been classified by the China National Tourism Administration as a prime tourist area for the past 10 years.

Leisure and Entertainment
Taizhou is a quickly developing city. It is of utmost importance that one keeps one's sanity by not restricting him or herself from the pleasures of good environment, good food, good coffee, good bars and good company. You don’t have to go far to find these in Taizhou! Taizhou has all kinds of restaurants, including from around China, and is particularly famous for its seafood, noodle soups, and fresh fruit.

Cost of living
Jiaojiang is a very cheap and comfortable city to live in, with a low cost of living. Meals can be as little as 5 RMB, but you can easily find many nicer, gourmet restaurants and big supermarket chains, and department stores where you can buy all kinds of things. There are also many cafes, bars, and clubs where one can relax or unwind.
