SSIS location: SSIS is located at the center of the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) on the edge of the ancient historical city of Suzhou. This rapidly expanding park was set up as a joint venture between the governments of the People's Republic of China and Singapore and is one of the leading development parks in China.
The school is an integral part of the park's development providing a high quality education to students from over twenty different countries.

Since 1996, when it opened, SSIS has grown from a small Kindergarten and Primary School to become a K-12 school with over 1,400 students.

Located on a 14 hectare campus, with a current student body of just over 1,500 students, we offer our students the opportunity to grow and mature within a supportive educational framework that is designed to address the various learning styles and needs of our students.

With the acquisition this year of 200 laptop computers we are embarking on an exciting journey to be become one of China’s first “E-Schools”, which will place the school comfortably to accommodate changes in educational philosophy for the 21st century. As you will see as you peruse the many pages of this web site, we offer our students opportunities not only in the academics, but in the performing and dramatic arts as well as in sports and recreation. We offer an IB program, throughout the school, with the addition of a German Department, for those wishing to have their children follow the German Curriculum, as well as a North American 2-year High School Diploma. Our aim is to educate the whole child.
