School:Shanghai Rego International School
Shanghai Rego International School which opened in September 2003, is a truly international school. We use the British National Curriculum in the Primary School and students sit for the GCSE/IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11. Presently we offer a wide range of A levels in Years 12 and 13 but we have applied to the International Baccalaureate Organisation for permission to replace A levels with the I.B. Diploma starting in September 2009.
The Shanghai Rego International School also offers a Dutch curriculum and a limited German curriculum. Every student is encouraged to develop fluency in English while at the same time maintaining fluency in their first language and keeping contact with their home culture.
SRIS places enormous emphasis on the arts---music, drama, dance and the visual arts as well as offering an almost unique range of sports. The school prides itself on excellent relationships and tries to ensure that all students, whatever their talent and temperament, will be happy and fulfilled.
