The British School of Nanjing (BSN) has been established in response to demands for a school of high academic standards from the expatriate community in Nanjing.

The school is wholly foreign managed, governed by an Executive Board of Directors and run on a day to day basis by the Head of Primary.

BSN is sponsored by The British Schools Group, a non-profit organisation that aims to promote quality British-style education world-wide. The school is also an associate member of The East Asian Association of British International Schools (EAABIS), and is registered with the Qualification and Curriculum Authority in the UK.

BSN opened in the Autumn term of 2007 with 30 students. Since then we have grown rapidly and by the begining of our Spring term we had grown to 55 students, of which only 19% are in our English support program.
