English schools in China
In August 2006, the Senior School (Years 7 to 10) opened it newest campus at Legend Garden, where staff have had the unique opportunity to be part of developing a school literally from the ground up. Key Stage Two (Years 3 to 6) students joined the senior students in August 2007, while Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and Pre-School students will remain on the Riviera, River Garden, and Sanlitun Campuses.
The Pre-School operates on a number of different campuses based on our philosophy of keeping kindergartens close to the communities in which children live. At the end of Key Stage One, students move to the Legend Garden Campus. The Kindergarten classes follow a Montessori programme, while students in Key Stage 1 may follow either a Montessori programme or the English National Curriculum (ENC). By Key Stage 2, all children follow the ENC. The school will enter students for International General Certificates of Secondary Education (IGCSEs) at the end of Key Stage Four (Year 11) , leading to the IB Diploma programme in Years 12 and 13. *
