Baicheng Normal College is seated in Baicheng City, commonly known as the City of Cranes, where the Kerqin Prairie and Songliao Plain meet in the west of Jilin Province.

Baicheng Normal College, being affiliated to Jilin Province, is an institution of higher learning authorized by the Ministry of Education of China. It originated from the former Baicheng Normal Training School founded in 1958. Now it has developed into a regional, multi-disciplines undergraduate institution, taking teacher training as dominance, some other disciplines as subsidiary.

Currently, Baicheng Normal College has enrolled students from 25 provinces, cities and regions of our country, with over 8000 full-time undergraduates and students with professional training, more than 3000 correspondence students.

The volume of books in the library is up to 800,000, with over 1500 periodicals. We have introduced two giant data base management systems to equip two modern electronic reading rooms.

Other facilities are as follows: the gymnasium, the student center, multi-function halls, training rooms for basic teaching skills, cable TV network, campus foreign-language teaching radio stations and campus computer networks, which provide effective safeguarding for education and teaching.
