If you are teaching (or otherwise EMPLOYED) in China and do not have a Z-Visa, you are breaking the law and are subject to arrest, imprisonment and deportation - and it has happened. Ignore unscrupulous agents who tell you an "F-Visa is OK". It isn't. An F-Visa is for students and business people ONLY.
