Travel, Teach, Live in China

I would love to see baseball grow in China.
By:David Chau <dchau22@mac.com>

Great article Richard. I was originally born in Shanghai and moved to Vancouver Canada when i was 10. Now i am in my third year in university here.
I guess living in North America, one simply cannot escape from having passions for sports. Although soccer is my fav sports (and only sports i am good at), i just love baseball and its great history. I grew up collecting baseball cards, and felt in love with Mantles, Ruths, Robinsons and the more modern players like Jeter, Pujols. I still go back to Shanghai every year and am usually very bored when iam there. And your article greatly moved me in a way that made me want to do something to promote this sport in Shanghai.
Maybe look for some Americans living in Shanghai and trying to organize a training camp to attract Chinese kids would perhaps be a good way.
Living in Vancouver is not a good time for sports these days. The basketball team left, the baseball team left (triple A) and the only team that can truely be called Vancouver is the Hockey team. And sooner or later, i will be going back to live in Shanghai and hopefully i can do something to make baseball noticeable there.
By the way Richard, i never played any baseball myself besides watching it. Do you have any suggestion for young adult like me on how to start. Am i too late to start at the age of 21? Is there any school in Shanghai (if not, i will start some).
