Stanley, a Beautiful Small Town on Hong Kong Island

Stanley is a small town with beautiful sceneries located in the south part of Hong Kong Island, which is a famous tourist attraction of Hong Kong. Stanley features the harmonious combination of old school Chinese and Western cultures, and it is a good place for sightseeing and leisure where sunny beach, unique architecture and shopping and food center located. Not only tourists flock here, but the locals often go there frittering the day away. Dozens of bars and restaurants spread in the streets. You can imagine the scene that you are sitting on the beach and having a drink while enjoying the sceneries.

Stanley Main Beach
It is the best place in Stanley to enjoy the sunshine where the golden sand, the azure sky and the sapphire sea reflecting each other. In holidays, people in horde go there, clamping up sand or undertaking some water sports. Taking a sunshine shower at noon or wandering along the seashore at twilight are both delightful. Every Dragon Boat Festival, the dragon boat competition is held which is full of Chinese traditional color.

Tin Hau Temple
According to the record, this old temple has been over 600 years old, which is one of the oldest Tin Hau Temples in Hong Kong area. Tin Hau Temple is built to worship Tin Hau who in Taoist is said can protect the fishermen. After many times renovations, the temple still keeps intact, becoming a main scenic spot in Stanley.

Stanley Market
Stanley Market is a not-to-miss place if visit Stanley, as numerous stalls and shops fill over the street. Lots of Chinese traditional handicraft works are sold there, so do antiques, rattan articles, paintings, silk clothes and postcards. Stanley Market is absolutely a right place for tourists to buy gifts or souvenirs.

Murray House
Murray House, now standing on the Stanley Square, was originally built in Garden Road of the Central in 1844. In the year of 1982, it was demolished and in 1999 the government invested to rebuild Murray House with its original materials and in its original structure in the seashore of Stanley. The House we see today is a Victorian edifice and some high-class restaurants all situated inner providing unrivaled delicacies. Once you enter the House, you would feel reminiscent and romantic ambience surrounding you.

For both tourists and the locals, Stanley would be an amazing place to spend holidays in Hong Kong, no matter you interested in the natural seashore view or the cultural ancient architecture. Hong Kong shopping and Hong Kong food would be more featured there.
