When I was in China I was impressed with how enthusiastic young people seem to be to learn English...On the list of academic priorities, where would Chinese students place learning how to speak and write in English? Is this ability required for university entrance exams and/or to get a good job? And I see lots of info on private schools for English in China, do students feel such extra tutoring is necessary?
