Travel, Teach, Live in China
I've gone through some of you guys comments and i think everyone has got an idea of what teaching in China is really like.
I want to take sides with Jinchafa.I think the newcomers to China should be very careful about contracts.Even if the contract is favourable to both parties,it's bullshit to some Chinese employers as they regard it as damn sheet of paper.
As regards 16k RMB salary to the English fella without a degree,Its not a suprise.Anything goes in China. Most employers knowingly or unknowingly don't want to care about your degree(s).All they want is if you're a native speaker cos that's there major marketing gimmicks to attract chinese students. It doesn't matter to them if you can teach but provided if you're a native speaker and if eventually you're employed and you can't perform, you get booted out even with a valid contract.
