If you want to come to China, you better decide and check well the information the schools give you.
I wouldn't say its a bad idea to come to China, Except that we try to expect western standards and cultures while we are in China which is impossible. Better schools are there and don't get too much in what is posted here because some guys have less experience( you come to China you can't speak Chinese and you don't understand the procedures involved in getting you a work permit then you start fighting with your employers that they are taking long in processing your documents)? and some have wrong concepts of what they are in for "what would you expect if you come to China and you accept a job in the small town or village where the people there have never seen a foreigner and you want to be in a western environment?, you want to have an apartment with with a Jacuzzi?, of course it will be better to stay home and enjoy the western standards,and never come to China!
Take some ESL preparation courses before coming this will make you understand the situation here and anywhere you plan to go and teach.
