Casinos in Macau, China
By:Will Howard

The only place to find legalized gambling in China, the special administrative region of Macau is sometimes said to rival Las Vegas in terms of its gambling and extravagant casino nightlife and revenue. Culturally, Macau, bordered by the South China Sea on two sides, has lured tourists with its mixed Portuguese and Chinese heritage, but it has since become known internationally as a gambling mecca. For those looking to try their luck, there are several convenient casinos in Macau, many of which are situated within a parent hotel.

Casino Golden Dragon

The Hotel Golden Dragon‎ in Macau is home to the Casino Golden Dragon, conveniently situated on the hotel's second and third floors. The 72,000 square-foot casino features over 100 gaming machines and 70 gaming tables, as well as an additional 15 private gaming tables. Showcasing a carnival-style theme and decor, the casino even has distinctively themed VIP rooms, including a private room based on the renowned carnival of the Caribbean island of Trinidad, as well as a room themed in honor of Mardi Gras. Amenities at the casino include a bar and cafe area, as well as a noodle shop. The hotel itself offers nearly 500 guest rooms, complete with amenities such as satellite television service, complimentary broadband Internet service and even a tea-making facility. The hotel also has four different restaurants, as well as a business center and swimming pool facility.
