How to Find Hong Kong's Best Tourist Spots
By:Isabel Prontes

Glamorous and glitzy Hong Kong is not only one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Every year, thousands of tourists from the Chinese mainland as well as the rest of the world visit this tiny island metropolis. If you are looking to visit Hong Kong in the future, here are some of your best options for fascinating tourist spots.

Go to the Hong Kong Museum of Art. This is a great place to see examples of Chinese art--Hong Kong style! The museums hosts a great collection of both local and international artworks. The sprawling museum with the leafy surroundings regularly changes up many of the exhibits inside. Visitors will be able to view paintings, calligraphy, and sculptures from Hong Kong, mainland China, Europe, and other parts of the world.

Check out the Hong Kong Science Museum. This is a vast science museum located in the Kowloon section of Hong Kong. There are various unique and intriguing exhibits available here including a massive audio-kinetic sculpture, displays of electricity generation and DC-3 airliner models. The most interesting part of this museum is the real automobile that users can "drive" in order to learn how to prevent accidents on the road. There are about 500 exhibitions in the museum, with about many of them being interactive.

Visit the Tsing Ma bridge. This sleek and shimmering bridge is one of the longest suspension bridges on earth. A relatively new structure (building ended in 1997), the Tsing Ma bridge has established itself as a popular scenic area. There is a scenic viewing platform which allows visitors to get views of two other majestic Hong Kong bridges, the Ting Kau bridge and Kap Shui Mun bridge. The Tsing Ma bridge is one of Hong Kong's most famous landmarks.

Spend an afternoon at the Hong Kong Wetland Park. This park includes a visitor center, a "Wetland Interactive World," and a wetland reserve. In the Interactive area, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, galleries, souvenir shops, a theater, a play section, and an information center. The reserve allows visitors to enter the habitat of various wildlife including water fowl. Highlights of the area including the Stream Walk and the Mangrove Boardwalk.

Visit Kowloon Park. This beautiful and serene park is a calm sanctuary away from the glittering chaos of the city. The park includes a rose garden, tree walk, stone wall trees, sports facilities and two museums. This is a great place for visitors to relax, enjoy nature, educate themselves, or even play sports!
