How to Visit the Forbidden City in Beijing, China

Beijing and Tianjin are located in the northern region of mainland China, the host country for the 2008 Olympic Games. Beijing, the capital of mainland China, was historically the ruling seat of the Qing Dynasty. The municipality of Tianjin is the largest port in northern China. Visitors booking train travel from Beijing to Tianjin can visit many historical sites there, including the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

Book Train Travel

Use the China Trip Advisor Web site (see below) to find a train traveling between Beijing and Tianjin. The nonstop Z train is the most highly recommended for tourists.

Reserve your tickets online between 10 and 60 days in advance using the China Trip Advisor Web site. Don't pay for the tickets until you receive a reservation confirmation.

Fill in the online train travel booking application for Beijing to Tianjin. If you don't see your connection, email the Web site giving your desired departure and arrival city. They will make the arrangements for you.

Give a local delivery address in China (usually your hotel) and a delivery date for receiving your tickets. After you book your train travel from Beijing to Tianjin, the Web site will email confirmation.

Pay online using Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, AMEX or Diners Club.
