Re: The Current Challenge of Living in China
In Response To: The Current Challenge of Living in China (Jeanie Hore)

This information about visas is all wrong. Find out for yourself.
SO many people want to live in China? Really? So many? I am here, but I know of absolutely no one but me from home who wants to do that.
Why would SO many want to live in China?
Because of the pollution? Because of the filth and garbage everywhere? Because of rampant growth and increase of prices? Because of being stared at everywhere? Because of the rude, dishonest and sly university students? Because of the awful food? Because of the censorship of all local news stories? Because of the censorship of FaceBook? Because of the censorship of Youtube? Because of the censorship of Google and Gmail? Because of the incredibly slow internet speeds? Because of the dangerous driving practices? Because of the danger crossing the streets?
Because of the absolute lack of logic and common sense?
This place is not for winners, and I am happy to be going home.
I lived in Hong Kong years ago and loved it.
China is nothing like Hong Kong. ( Yes, I know, Hong Kong is now part of China! But I do not consider it in any way to be China.)
