Enjoying Some of the Best Restaurants in Australia

Australia truly has some of the best restaurants you'd ever hope to find. Whether you are planning a family celebration, romantic dinner or a business lunch, you'll find that Australia provides plenty of dining options. You can choose from restaurants that offer traditional favorites such as seafood or steak, or try a place that offers ethnic choices from other countries. Whatever kind of food you're craving, you're sure to find it in Australia. Here are a few top restaurants that you simply have to try.

Fine Dining Choices

If you are in the mood for fine dining, you'll have plenty of options to choose from. Vue de Monde in Melbourne is a great choice if you enjoy French cuisine. The food is beautiful, classically inspired, and yet served with a twist of modern interpretation. This restaurant is best chosen for special occasions, since the prices are somewhat expensive. Still, it's a great culinary experience that you should try at least once. If you love seafood, the Pier Rose Bay in New South Wales would be an excellent choice. They feature menu choices with only the finest and freshest seafood, along with seasonal produce selections. Pier Rose Bay would also be an excellent choice for a special occasion. Neil Perry's Rockpool Bar and Grill in Sydney and Melbourne is another of Australia's finest restaurants. They specialize in grass fed beef, which has been perfectly dry-aged, as well as delicious seafood dishes. The Cha Cha Char Wine Bar and Grill in Brisbane is the perfect place to go if you are in the mood for steak, as it is one of the area's best steak restaurants. However, they also offer plenty of seafood, poultry and vegetarian offerings.

Native Australian Dining

Native Australian food features meat choices such as crocodile, kangaroo, emu, and of course a wide variety of seafood. Restaurants showcasing this style of dining also feature dishes made from the country's wide variety of unique plant life. You can't really visit Australia without enjoying some of its native cuisine. The Rustic Charm at Wild Cattle Creek vineyard in Wandin is a great place to enjoy some traditional Australian foods. Vic Harbour Kitchen and Bar in the Melbourne area is also a great choice for both native as well as modern Australian cuisine. The menu at Charcoal Lane in Fitzroy features innovative combinations of traditional Aboriginal and global styles for a uniquely modern and yet native dining experience.

Casual Dining

There are also plenty of restaurants in Australia that offer a more casual style of dining. The Blowfly Bar and Dining in Teneriffe is a great place for classic fare at a good price. Café Bondi at Bondi Beach offers flame-grilled steaks, ribs, seafood and chicken, in addition to pasta and salads in a casual and yet vibrant environment. Portions are generous and prices are good. If you're in the mood for some delicious comfort food, the Roast Kitchen in Kew is a great choice. The great thing about the Roast Kitchen is that you can choose your delicious dishes from a wide array of already-prepared foods. Then you can choose to either eat in or take your meal home with you.
