Intensive English Language
The Intensive English Language Program at Brown University is designed for high-achieving, university-bound students who do not speak English as their native language and who are interested in attending a competitive university such as Brown.
Students in the Intensive English Language Program improve their ability to speak, read, write, and understand English and enjoy all the benefits of the Pre-College Summer@Brown. Former students have improved their TOEFL score by up to 200 points in one summer. Our students make friends from all over the world and some go on to study in English-speaking universities.
The Intensive English Language Program immerses students in English language and college life through a combination of classroom meetings, trips, social activities and interactions with American students. Students live on campus with Brown University students, American pre-college students and other international high school students. More than 1000 students are on campus during the Intensive English Language Program. Summer@Brown gives you the chance to make lasting friendships with people from all over the world.
