Jilin Huaqiao University of Foreign Languages (Huawai) is located at Changchun, along the tourist belt of Jingyue National Forest. Its land area comprises more than 760,000 square meters, and its floor area is 218,000 square meters. It has well-equipped and high-quality facilities for teaching, learning, and living, which are comprised of a library, a campus TV station, a school web, an electronic reading room, a multi-purpose functional hall, a stadium, a gymnasium, an indoor swimming-pool, and the Professional Training Center for Language and Culture-Global Village.

Huawai was founded in 1995. In 2003，it was accredited by the Ministry of Education to offer undergraduate courses, and hence, became the first private four-year foreign language institute to issue bachelor’s degree in the whole country. In 2004, the school was authorized to recruit students from the 2nd round in all the specializations. And in 2005, the school began to enroll postgraduates under a joint program with other universities. In 2007, the school was entitled as a key institution of higher education in Jilin Province, and in 2010, it became the only school to pilot for the national educational system reform project “Exploration of School-running Mode for Public Welfare in Private Colleges”. In 2011, With the approval of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee（SCADC）, the school began to offer Master programs in Translation and Interpretation (MTI). Huawai has now become an important educational base in the province focusing on the cultivation of advanced application-oriented personnel in the area of foreign languages and foreign affairs.

Qualifications
1) Native fluency
2) Language /linguistics/ education / literature / social science major/economics/business
3) Educational Requirements: PhD or at least MA degree holder and university professor/ associate professor experience abroad i.e., outside China (preferred)
4) Strong background in language teaching
5) Possessing excellent teaching skills, knowledge and experience in curriculum development; strong commitment to research and to teacher scholarship
6) Must be prepared to teach courses in the language at beginning and advanced levels, as well as specialization and culture courses
7) Age Requirement: 55 years or younger

Courses Taught
Listening comprehension and oral proficiency are the top priorities in the language courses. International teachers mainly conduct all conversational classes along with other core lessons such as business, tourism, management, translation, etc. The institute provides most teaching materials; however, teachers are encouraged to bring their own materials to supplement the school's selection of textbooks.

Compensation Package:
1. Salary: RMB7000+ (depending on experience and qualification)
