YunHe Middle School is based across two campuses in Pizhou, China. The school currently holds around 5500 students across 3 year groups, aged between 15 and 18 years old. Recognised as one of the highest-achieving schools in the area, students frequently go on to gain places at China's most renowned universities.

The school is currently looking to recruit two foreign teachers for the 2016/17 academic year, who will run English classes alongside the existing curriculum.

As a part-time foreign language teacher, you will be responsible for teaching classes of Senior Grade 1 students (15 and 16 year olds) for 15 hours per week, spread across 5 days per week.

The contract will run from the 1st September 2016 to 30th June 2017. You will be paid a monthly salary of 6-8000RMB (depending on suitability) plus 200RMB travel expenses. All Chinese National Holidays and non-teaching days (when students have exams etc) will be paid. A pay rise is available if you continue at the school for a second year.

The school will provide a multi-entry visa covering the duration of the contract. The school (and I, a current foreign teacher at the school) will provide assistance throughout the process of obtaining the relevant documents.

One return flight (up to 9000RMB) will be reimbursed upon completion of the contract.

Furnished accommodation, close to the school, will be provided. Usually this is an apartment shared between two foreign teachers.

Support and assistance for day-to-day life and other activities (booking travel etc.) will be available for the duration of the contract.

Requirements:

• The ability to speak and write English to a first-language standard.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• TEFL/TESOL an advantage but not essential.
• Enthusiasm and the ability to adapt to a new environment
