Weifang, Shandong Province. Weifang is located 45 minutes from Qingdao in Shandong Province. Weifang is known as the Kite city because of the international kite festival held here every year. The city is a budding international city with a growing number of foreigners. Weifang is conveniently centrally located between Shanghai and Beijing – Shanghai is 5.5 hours away and Beijing is 4.5 hours away via fast train. There is little pollution in comparison to cities like Beijing. Breathing clean air, having a quality of living experience and being in a clean/beautiful city with wide roads are all big perks of living in Weifang. Because costs of living are significantly lower than other cities you should be able to save +70% of your salary (living costs are around 3000RMB per month – and that is with eating out for most/all meals.

Job Description:
3-year contracts available/preferred. We are looking for career-minded professionals. Working in a corporate environment with one of China’s most respectable international electronics manufacturing companies. Training directors, higher-level managers and key employees. Focus: business English, engineering, sales, CRM, cultural awareness etc. Our training program has four focuses: Executive, VIP, General and on-line English training. Each area of focus has different levels of service, preparation and time management. So, you will need to self-manage time and balance your work load to meet deliverable deadlines. Most/all materials will be provided at the beginning. Later, through team work, your opinions will be represented when training material is synchronized with other training sites. It is important that you have a good handle on all computer related skills (such as but not limited to, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook). It is important that you have a good handle on teaching methods. It is important that you can both work in a team environment and work independently. Lastly, it is important that you can adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of a pre-existing training program that is building a “brand image.” Class load: 8-10 classes with a maximum of 15 students in each class (most times we average 8-9 students in a class), 8-10 VIP classes with 1-3 students in a class. Total working hours a week: 44 hours.
Total Compensation Description:
Salary range: 14000-18000 depending on previous work experience and education background.
Annual bonus: ~1.5 month’s salary.
Annual round-trip air plane tickets to your home country.
Apartment: fully furnished apartment will be provided (utilities are not included).
Visa expenses: paid. We will ensure you have a legal Z-visa.
Insurance: basic insurance provided.
Annual salary increases. In Goertek, the average salary increase is around 15%.

Qualifications:
Language skills: English (Mandarin will move you to the front of our hiring process). Bachelor or Master Degree in one of the following fields: education, science, IT, engineering, management, business, philosophy (or a closely related field). Master preferred. Work-experience: +2 years teaching experience. [Sales, IT, engineering, culturally-significant, international, additional education and business experience are big pluses]. Work experience requirement: +5 years. TEFL/TESOL certification big plus.

Please note: most teaching positions in China say “20 hours of teaching.” However, with classes being spread out with 40 minutes a class and 10-30 minutes of breaks you end up easily working a much longer amount of time.
Please note: most teaching positions involve working with class sizes of 30-60, making it difficult to feel that you are actually being given a chance to improve them in a serious way.
Please note: the laws in China have significantly changed recently. Many training schools will find it difficult to offer legal Z-visas to foreign teachers. And, most recently, there have been dramatic changes in the laws concerning foreigners from non-native English speaking countries.
