Ⅱ. Application Requirements

According to our educational philosophy and position requirements, we are looking for the ideal candidate meeting the following:

1.Basic requirements:
Be fond of China as well as Chinese, culture and tradition;
Be proficient in teaching IGCSE and A Level (or IBDP) with at least two years of teaching experience;
Possess an undergraduate degree and subject area teacher certification/licensure from home country;
Be an enthusiastic and ambitious individual able to adapt to a different culture.

2.Preferred qualifications:
Graduate degree: Masters or above;
speak Chinese;
multi-language proficiency;
Prior overseas experience.

3.Age Limit:
50 (particularly outstanding individuals over 50 will be considered).

Ⅲ. Remuneration Package
A comprehensive and competitive salary and benefits package will be given, commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The package will include:

Health insurance;
Housing;
Half tuition waiver for staff children (if both parents are staff members, the waivers is 100%);
Visa and visa related costs covered;
One Round-trip ticket to home of record will be provided per year after being employed for one academic school year (maximum limit for ticket allowance is 10,000RMB);
Competitive salary (paid in easily convertible Chinese RMB);
Professional Development opportunities;
Two year contract (renewable on mutual agreement).

Ⅳ. Job Description
1.To teach students in their assigned group according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the students in school and elsewhere.

2.To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned students and keep such records as required by the school’s systems.

3.To ensure an effective, high quality learning experience for all of our students, through the application of a variety of delivery and assessment methods that are appropriate to students’ learning styles and the varying demands of curriculum.
To keep up-to-date with developments in the teaching of the subject(s) through attendance at department meetings, mandatory and/or assigned training activities.
To provide a positive, conducive and safe learning environment, encouraging high standards in punctuality, presentation of work and relationships.
To communicate effectively with parents and with other individuals or bodies outside the school who are concerned with the welfare of students, after consultation with the appropriate staff.
To actively engage in performance management.
To play a full part in the life of our school community, and support its ethos.
To follow and actively promote the school’s policies.
To actively pursue own personal and professional development.
To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students.
To foster a learning environment in which provides each student with the opportunities to fulfill their individual potential.
To actively engage in the development of the school curriculum, courses of study, extra curricular activities, teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and assessment and their review.

These duties will be varied at the reasonable discretion of the administration, to meet the changing needs of the school.
