Life in Foshan

Foshan, one of the wealthiest cities in Guangdong province, is what's known as ‘capital of pottery’ for over a thousand years. It’s about 30-45 minutes away by underground connecting to Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong (Canton), one of the four wealthiest cities in China. It has very rich history but yet modern and full of vitality. It is also one of the fastest growing cities in the world. The locals are extremely friendly and it's an ideal place to learn Chinese.
The food culture here is what many people find most attractive about the city. It’s the hometown of Cantonese cuisine. Busy local restaurants with huge varieties of dishes can be found absolutely everywhere and are often open till late night.
It’s also the hometown of Ip Man, master of Bruce Lee!
The city also has plenty of Western amenities. You'll never be short of invitations to dinner, bars or karaoke. Overall it is a lively and friendly environment. The cost of living in Foshan is comparatively cheap when comparing it to more international cities like Shanghai or Beijing.
The accommodation provided by the school is a short walk away from parks, lakes and shopping malls.
As for traveling, Foshan is an hour away from Baiyun International Airport and a couple of hours away from Hong Kong, from which you can connect to most places of the world.

Requirements

• University Degree preferred (B.A or equivalent)
• Native level English speaker
• Teaching Experience preferred
• Teaching certificate (TEFL, CELTA etc.)

Remuneration Package

• 10,000-15,000 RMB salary per month (depending on experience)
• Official Chinese Z-Visa, including any associated fees
• 10 days annual leave in addition to public Chinese holidays or 6,000 RMB airfare allowance per year
