Articulate, friendly graduates with excellent presentation and communication skills are sought to teach students aged 5 to adult in Changsha, China.

English teachers report to the Director of Studies and are responsible for the following:

- 20 hours of teaching per week, 10 hours of office time
- Delivering well planned lessons based on the school’s curriculum
- Encourage children to practise spoken English
- Provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work
- Facilitate learning for students and build their confidence
- Use a variety of materials and teaching techniques to enhance student learning, and engage student interest
- Perform general administrative functions
- Ensure that students are safe and monitored
- Involvement in curriculum development
- Attend and participate in staff department meetings, workshops, curriculum/program planning and special events

A work z visa will be provided by the school.

Salary package:

• Airport pickup
• RMB8000 - 11000 salary per month (Approx. £1100), very low tax
• Accommodation provided, or RMB1000 allowance
• 30 working hours per week
• Flight reimbursement
• One year employment contract

School Overview

REA is a private English school founded in 2009 with many locations all over the city of Changsha (and expanding to other cities in the coming future), the capital city of Hunan province. They were rewarded as the Elite Private Schools in Changsha by the local authorities in 2011 and 2012.

Each class has a maximum of 8 students, and REA teaches students from ages 3 to 20 plus. Working with this well-established school private training school is a great opportunity for both new and experienced ESL instructors. New teachers can be trained in a professional environment, while experienced teachers can look towards advancement with this fast growing company.

1. You will be working with colleagues from the US, UK, CA, NZ, as well as helpful Chinese TAs

PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in any subject area and demonstrate an ability to be able to embrace life within a very different culture. Prior experience of working with children or teaching/ training is a bonus, but not a requirement.

Applicants should speak English to native level.

A TEFL/ TESOL qualification is required, but can be completed subsequent to application.
